About Sheepshead Diving LLC

Sheepshead Diving LLC is built on a lifetime of experience in the water, public service, and hands-on marine work.

I was born and raised in Lakeport, California, on the shores of Clear Lake, where I grew up working, boating, and learning the value of hard work at an early age. My introduction to diving began along the Pacific Coast in Westport, where I learned to free dive for abalone at my grandparents’ home—an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the ocean.

At 14, I started volunteering with the Lakeport Fire Department, eventually becoming an EMT at 18 and later a paramedic. I spent years serving full-time with Lake County Fire District and part-time with multiple departments throughout the region, gaining extensive experience in emergency response, rescue operations, and problem-solving under pressure. I also volunteered with Santa Clara County Search and Rescue, further developing my field and technical skills.

I became NAUI certified in 2001 and continued expanding my diving experience over the years. While attending medical school in Bonaire, I earned my Dive Master certification and worked as a professional dive guide and underwater photographer. I led cave tours, guided night dives, and captured marine life for visitors, gaining valuable experience in diverse underwater environments.

After completing medical training and working in hospitals across multiple states, I transitioned fully into the marine service industry in Florida. I worked for a professional dive service company in Jacksonville before founding Sheepshead Diving LLC in Southwest Florida.

Today, I bring over a decade of professional diving experience, along with a background in firefighting, paramedicine, vessel operation, and mechanical work. As a licensed captain and experienced diver, I provide reliable, efficient, and detail-oriented underwater services for both private and commercial clients.

I take pride in working outdoors, being in the water, and delivering the highest level of service on every job—no matter the size or complexity.
